Ann Reeves Jarvis took great pain and gain her a role as “Mother of Mother’s Day”.
After the success of her first Mother’s Day in May 1908, Anna Jarvis remained un-married and childless whole life happy to see an honorary holiday added to the national calendar. She also started a massive campaign to newspapers and to politicians for the adoption of a special day honoring motherhood named “Mother’s Day”.
In 1912 many states had adopted this day as an annual holiday, and Jarvis had also established an association named as an International Mother’s Day Association to help and to promote the cause of her mother.
